Steinbach RCMP are asking the public for any information connected to a recent armed robbery incident that occurred at a convenience store located on Main Street in Steinbach, Manitoba.
Police say that on August 7, 2018, at approximately 10:30pm, officers responded to a panic alarm at 1st Choice Convenience on Main Street. Employees stated that a male entered the store wearing a black ski mask, black hoodie and gray sweat pants. One inside the store, the male suspect held a gun up and demanded cigarettes and money. When he had received the items he asked for, the male fled on foot northbound down Kroeker Avenue to the left of the Steinbach Fire Hall.
RCMP called out their Police Dog Servics unit for assistance, however, with high foot traffic in the area at the time, members could not locate the suspect male.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
