RCMP Major Crimes Unit are currently investigating a homicide that recently occurred at a location in Berens River, Manitoba.
During the early morning hours of September 16, 2018, a 53-year-old male was located by community members lying on the road in Berens River, Manitoba. Police say that the victim appeared to have been assaulted and was transported to the local nursing station with life-threatening injuries. The victim was then transported to Winnipeg hospital in critical condition.
RCMP report that on September 22, 2018, the victim succumbed to his injuries and died while in hospital. As a result, the death is being investigated as a homicide by the RCMP Major Crimes Unit.
