Steinbach RCMP are asking the public for assistance in identifying two suspects involved in a recent fuel theft incident that occurred at a local gas station in Steinbach.
On September 18, 2018, Steinbach RCMP received a report that gas had been stolen from the Coop Gas Bar located on Highway 52 in Steinbach.
Police investigation has determined that on September 17, 2018, just before 6:30pm, two male suspects fueled up an older Chevy pickup truck and some jerry cans with Premium gas worth approximately $170. The suspects then left the gas station without paying for the fuel.
The one suspect is described as a male Caucasian, wearing a cowboy hat, a dark coat and blue jeans. The other male suspect had darker skin and was wearing sunglasses, and a hoodie. Police noted that the pickup truck being driven by the suspects did not have any visible licence plates.
