On November 4, 2018, at approximately 7:15am, Headingley RCMP Traffic Services received a report of a single vehicle rollover near the intersection of Murdoch Road and the Perimeter Highway.
RCMP officers and other emergency services responded to the scene and located a male on the ground approximately 180m from an overturned vehicle. The 33-year-old male from Winnipeg was transported to hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
Preliminary police investigation has determined that the vehicle was traveling south on Murdoch Road when it failed to negotiate a turn and continued across all four lanes of the Perimeter Highway. The vehicle rolled and the driver was ejected.
RCMP report that the driver was not likely wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing with assistance from RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionists.
