The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra Manitoba Hydro Holiday Tour will be spreading Holiday cheer across Manitoba with a stop in Steinbach on December 5, 2018.
The 2018 tour will feature special guest soloist Katherine Mayba this holiday season. The festive program features a variety of classic holiday favourites and a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, as well as a sing-along of beloved hymns.
This annual Christmas tradition is for the whole family which will also recognizes local artists.
The evening will include narrators Chris and Otto Goertzen – presenting a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, accompanied by the orchestra. Local singers, the Eastman-Providence Choir, will add their melodious voices to WSO’s beautiful pieces. Other highlights of the evening will be a surprise local artist, an opportunity to bring an unwrapped toy for the local Community Christmas Care program and a special contest for grade 5 or 6 students to conduct the Symphony.
