Steinbach residents will soon receive their 2019 Residential Garbage and Recycling schedule in the mail. The new schedule includes adjustments to all five collection days, so residents are encouraged to review it closely for changes starting in the New Year.
“We are a growing city and we want to make sure we plan for new and upcoming community developments in our routes,” Eldon Wallman, Manager, Solid Waste explains. “We want to keep the number of houses we pick-up from about the same for each collection day to maintain service levels for everyone.”
As in past years, residents can find their collection day by finding their location on the colour-coded city map that corresponds to their scheduled pick-up day on the calendar.
The City notes that if you have a mailbox listed to not receive flyers, you will not receive a schedule. If you do not receive one in your mailbox, you can pick one up at City Hall, Steinbach Landfill, City Operations Building or Customer Service at Superstore or Sobeys.
