The Steinbach Arts Council is proud to host the upcoming exhibit opening of “The 13th Annual Expressions: Exploring Recovery through Art”, to be held on October 7, 2016.
Expressions is a free community event held annually in conjunction with Mental Illness Awareness Week. Its purpose is to showcase and celebrate the individuals who use art in the journey of recovery from a mental health problem and to promote better understanding of mental illness in our region.
This is the 13th Annual Expressions and fifth year in partnership with the Steinbach Arts Council. The artists who are from various communities in the southern half of Manitoba express themselves through a variety of media including paint, photography, and pottery.
The Opening Ceremony is open to the public and will be held on October 7, 2016, at 7pm in the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre Hall Gallery.
