Bob Lagassé, MLA for Dawson Trail, is pleased to announce grants totaling almost $95,000 have been awarded to seven groups throughout the constituency of Dawson Trail.
“Our PC government understands that, in communities like ours, supporting small projects can make a big difference,” said Lagassé. “I’m very proud that we’re making these investments that will improve the lives of so many Dawson Trail families.”
The grants, which are part of Manitoba Municipal Affairs’ Community Support Small Grant Program, have been awarded to the following groups and projects:
- Gabrielle-Roy Parent Advisory Committee (Ile des Chênes): $20,000 to purchase equipment for a multi-use fitness facility
- St. Adolphe Child Care Centre: $20,000 to purchase new furnishings and equipment
- Grande Pointe Homeowners Association: $20,000 to purchase an ice resurfacer and tractor
- Le Club Amical de St-Adolphe: $11,037.84 to purchase new kitchen equipment for meal preparation
- Lorette Minor Hockey Association: $4,830.75 to replace hockey goal nets and purchase a new floor buffer
- Ross Community Centre: $4,168.75 to replace hockey goal nets and purchase an upright freezer
- Landmark Recreation Association: $14,746.50 to help maintain sports fields
