A Steinbach apartment was the target of a recent break-in involving a male suspect armed with a firearm.
On February 18, 2019, at approximately 9:10pm, Steinbach RCMP responded to a break and enter at an apartment located on Loewen Boulevard in the City of Steinbach.
Police investigation has determined that two male suspects, one armed with a firearm, had entered the apartment by force. Once inside the apartment, one of the suspects made serious threats towards the two occupants.
Police say that the occupants were not injured and at no time was the firearm discharged. It is believed the break and enter to this specific apartment was targeted.
RCMP report that a 17-year-old male youth from the RM of DeSalaberry has been arrested in connection to this incident. He has been remanded into custody on numerous firearms related charges as well as breaking and entering.
