A 63-year-old Prairie View man has died after suffering serious injuries resulting from a recent farm site accident that occurred near Virden, Manitoba.
On February 25, 2019, at 9:25pm, officers from the Virden RCMP received a report of a fatality that occurred at a farm site, located approximately 15 kilometres north-west of Virden, in the RM of Wallace-Woodworth.
Initial police investigation has determined that a 63-year-old male, from Prairie View, was operating a tractor and grain auger when it is believed that parts of his clothing got caught in the machinery.
RCMP report that the 63-year-old male suffered serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Virden RCMP and Manitoba Workplace Safety and Health continue to investigate.
