On March 4, 2019, at approximately 2:35pm, Little Grand Rapids RCMP responded to a report of a plane crash at a location on Family Lake, south of the airport.
Police say that the plane, a Cessna Grand Caravan, landed short of the runaway by approximately three to five kilometres.
RCMP report that the flight had seven people on board, including the pilot. Everyone was transported to the Little Grand Rapids nursing station, where some were treated for minor injuries.
The Transportation Safety Board, along with the RCMP, continue to investigate this incident.
