Southern Health-Santé Sud has announced that BreastCheck’s mobile mammography vehicle will be in Steinbach from June 10 to July 5, 2019.
BreastCheck is a program that checks Manitoba women ages 50 and over for early signs of breast cancer. Regular screening mammograms are the best way to find breast cancer early. When found early, there may be more treatment options and better chance of a cure.
CancerCare Manitoba recommends that most women, ages 50-74, should have a screening mammogram (breast x-ray) every 2 years.
The BreastCheck mobile mammography vehicle will be setup at the Pat Porter Active Living Centre, located at 10 Chrysler Gate in Steinbach. The clinic will run from June 10 through July 5, 2019. Appointments can be made by calling 1-855-95-CHECK.
