Over the weekend of June 7 and June 8, 2019, Steinbach RCMP will be checking vehicles in different areas of the community to ensure that vehicles are secured.
RCMP remind the public that despite the warm weather, all windows should be rolled up and vehicles locked when unattended. Unattended vehicles should not be left running unless there is a mechanism to prevent theft.
A pamphlet with helpful tips may be left on your windshield during this time as a reminder.
Steinbach RCMP noted that COPP (Citizens on Patrol Program) are a huge partner in these preventative endeavours. They will be having a BBQ on June 22, 2019 at Clearspring Centre by Sobey’s between 11am and 2pm, making themselves available to answer any questions regarding the program.
