Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 15-year-old youth on a skateboard was nearly hit by a truck while crossing an intersection.
On June 11, 2019, at approximately 9am, a 15-year-old youth on a skateboard was nearly struck by a truck while crossing Brandt Street at McKenzie Avenue in Steinbach. The truck is described as blue in colour and was pulling a trailer at the time of the incident.
Police investigation shows that the truck hit the skateboard and shot it into the air.
RCMP report that just prior to being struck, someone in a another vehicle had yelled at the youth to warn him of danger.
Steinbach RCMP are seeking any witnesses to this potentially disastrous incident.
