The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce has announced that the 51st Pioneer Days Parade is scheduled to take place on Friday, August 2, 2019.
The theme of this year’s parade is “Community, Heritage & the Chamber’s 65th Anniversary.” The parade will start at the Steinbach Fire Hall at 10am on Friday, and proceed west down Main Street. Once at the end of Main Street, the parade will head north on Highway 12 and end at Stone Bridge Crossing.
The Steinbach Chamber of Commerce expects Main Street to be packed with more than 120 entries. In the interest of public safety, the Steinbach Chamber, together with Steinbach RCMP, Steinbach Fire Department and the City of Steinbach, remind all spectators that failure to stay behind the marked barricade tape could result in serious injury. Parents and guardians are urged to ensure their children do not run into the street to grab candy or prizes.
The Chamber notes that parade judges will be giving out prizes to entries in four categories, including historical, animal entry, most creative and judges choice.
