Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating a recent break-in at the Main Street Coop gas bar which resulted in a large quantity of cigarettes being stolen.
At 3:35am on August 17, 2019, Steinbach RCMP received a report of a commercial alarm that had gone off at the Clearview Coop gas bar located on Main Street in Steinbach.
Officers attended the scene and noticed that the front entrance of the store was clearly broken into. The building was then cleared confirming that the suspect(s) were no longer on scene.
Further police investigation revealed that a large quantity of cigarettes (multiple brands) were stolen as a result of the break-in.
