On September 28, 2019, at approximately 2:20am, RCMP responded to an assault with a weapon at a location on Saskatchewan Avenue in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
Police say that two male victims were walking in the area when three male suspects approached them. One of the suspects had an axe and struck one of the victims in the upper body.
The victim, a 20-year-old male from Portage La Prairie, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that all three suspects are described as being in their 20’s, tall and were wearing dark clothing. The suspect with the axe is described as having some facial hair, possibly a chin beard.
