Flin Flon RCMP recently seized a quantity of drugs, weapons and cash stemming from a recent Highway Traffic Act violation that occurred on Highway 10.
On September 29, 2019, at 10:30pm, RCMP were conducting an investigation on Highway 10, approximately 15 kilomtres south of Flin Flon, Manitoba. Officers say that they were on the side of the road with emergency lights activated, when a pickup truck traveling on Highway 10 failed to slow down – passing the officers at a high rate of speed. As a result, officers immediately returned to their police vehicles and initiated a traffic stop with the passing vehicle.
Police say that a subsequent search and investigation led officers to obtain search warrants for the vehicle and residences which were located in Schist Lake and Flin Flon. As a result of the searches, officers seized approximately 27 grams of cocaine, six grams of psilocybin, one gram of crack cocaine, 10 rifles, ammunition, other weapons and a large sum of cash.
RCMP report that the driver, 55-year-old Paul McIntyre of Schist Lake, is facing numerous drug and firearms related charges. McIntyre was also issued several tickets under the Highway Traffic Act. The passenger of the vehicle, 51-year-old Margaret Chisolm of Flin Flon, is facing charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
