A 45-year-old Steinbach man suffered only minor injuries this past weekend after being assaulted while out for a jog in the community.
On November 23, 2019 at approximately 4:30pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report stating that an assault had occurred at the corner of Henry Street and Kroeker Avenue in Steinbach.
Police say that the victim, a 45-year-old Steinbach man, was jogging when he was approached by two unknown male suspects. One of the unknown suspects struck the victim in the face a few times. The victim was able to get away and safely ran home.
RCMP report that the victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention.
The identity of both suspects are still unknown at this time. Police say that one of the unknown males is described as being Caucasian in his mid 20’s and approximately 5’9″ tall.
