A 24-year-old woman along with a 23-year-old man have died as the result of a serious two-vehicle collision near Seddon’s Corner, east of Beausejour, Manitoba.
On December 7, 2019, at approximately 2:30pm, Lac du Bonnet RCMP received a report of a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 44, approximately one kilometre east of Seddon’s Corner.
Initial police investigation has determined that a car, traveling with three occupants, was heading east on Highway 44, when it crossed over the center line and collided with a westbound pickup truck.
Police say that the driver of the car, a 24-year-old female from the RM of St. Clements, was transported to hospital with serious injuries. The two passengers, a 24-year-old female from the RM of St. Clements and a 23-year-old male from Winnipeg, were pronounced deceased on scene.
RCMP report that the driver of the pickup truck, a 55-year-old male, along with a 50-year-old female passenger, were treated for minor injuries at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
