On November 10, 2016, just before 7am, Swan River RCMP responded to a report of a male lying in the middle of Highway 10, north of Mafeking, Manitoba.
When officers arrived on scene, local emergency services were attending to the male who was pronounced deceased on scene. The victim, a 23-year-old male from Dawson Bay, Manitoba, had injuries which appeared to be consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
A Forensic Collision Reconstructionist and the RCMP Criminal Crash Investigative Team are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
