The Steinbach Arts Council is pleased to present an opening ceremony celebration for a split exhibit featuring Photography by Julie Yatsko and various artworks by EastMan Broad Alliance for Cultural Enrichment (EMBrACE). The event is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at the Hall Gallery in the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre.
Julie Yatsko is a self-taught photographer, born and raised in Manitoba, who also loves to draw. She loves photographing animals and sharing her talent and unique photographic captures with other people.
Eastern Manitoba Broad Alliance for Cultural Enrichment or EMBrACE was recently founded to help give newcomers a voice in our community. This community organization was founded and designed to support and empower the multicultural community here in southeastern Manitoba.
“We are most excited when we are able to feature new emerging artists during our Exhibit season,” said Cindi Rempel Patrick, Chief Creative Officer at the Arts Centre. “Our mandate is to encourage, inspire and support new artists and help to guide them in sharing their art with the community. Julie is a very talented photographer and this will be her first public exhibit. EMBrACE is also a new group of artists to our Centre and we know they will have some wonderful displays of creative artworks to share with the community as well!”
The Exhibit will open at the Steinbach Cultural Arts Centre’s Hall Gallery on Wednesday, January 8 at 7pm and will run until February 28, 2020. The opening ceremony is open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
