As another winter blusters on in the province, Red River Co-op was able to donate over 10,000 much needed toques to Siloam Mission.
Red River Co-op’s seven food stores began the drive to donate 10,000 toques in late November, where members and customers could purchase a toque to donate for two dollars. Red River Co-op would like to thank all who helped achieve this goal for Siloam Mission’s clients.
Siloam Mission is also in search of warm outdoor clothing for their clients, such as jackets, boots, scarves and mittens. Donations are being accepted at all Red River Co-op food stores in bins by the front entries.
In addition, Red River Co-op food stores are collecting food for Winnipeg Harvest in partnership with the Manitoba Moose for the December 31st Shut Out Hunger game.
