The Manitoba government will help grow one of the province’s top tech companies with more than $144,100 to help support current and new employees with training and resources as the company continues to expand and create new jobs.
“Bold Commerce is a thriving company that has recognized the need to stay competitive by adding staff and boosting the skills of its existing employees,” said Economic Development and Training Minister Ralph Eichler. “The goal is to add hundreds of new jobs, while ensuring it and the company’s nearly 350 current employees have the tools and training to provide the best e-commerce solutions here and around the world. A skilled workforce is essential for continued growth and to remain competitive on a global scale. Like Bold Commerce, our government is confident in the future of our province and our people, and we appreciate its reinvestment in Manitoba.”
Bold Commerce continues to be one of Manitoba’s fastest-growing technology companies, growing to nearly 350 full-time employees from four co-founders in seven years. Provincial funding will be used to support training, tools and resources to ensure current and new employees are well positioned to meet the demands of this sector and the company’s plan for growth.
Electronic commerce is a rapidly expanding field and Bold Commerce expects to hire 400 people over the next two-and-a-half years.
“We place great emphasis on creating and maintaining a culture of continual learning at Bold,” said Chantal Grindle, chief human resources officer, Bold Commerce. “With our rapid growth, we’re bringing on as many as 20 new employees each month. As we scale our business, this funding will allow us to provide the best training for our employees, who together will help us build the best company.”
