Ted Falk, Member of Parliament for Provencher, highlighted resources to help Manitobans impacted by COVID-19.
The Public Health Agency of Canada continues to assess the risk associated with COVID-19 as low for the general population in Canada, but this may change. For the most up-to-date information, Southeast Manitoba residents can visit the Government of Canada’s and the Province of Manitoba’s dedicated coronavirus webpages at canada.ca and gov.mb.ca.
Falk’s office has set up a webpage to provide relevant information and links for a variety of challenges associated with COVID-19, including emergency assistance for Canadians abroad and special Employment Insurance measures for those in quarantine. Constituents can visit tedfalk.ca/covid-19-resources-for-impacted-canadians/. This webpage will be routinely updated as the situation develops.
“I want everyone to know that all parties and all levels of government are working collaboratively to support affected Canadians and help prevent the further spread of the virus,” said Falk. “I encourage everyone to follow the advice of health care professionals and public health agencies to keep yourself, your family, and our communities safe.”
In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Falk notes that his office remains open by appointment only. Staff remain available during regular business hours by phone at 204-326-9889, toll-free at 1-866-333-1933, or by email at Ted.Falk.C1@parl.gc.ca.
