The committee that organizes the Mitchell and Area Fun Days annual event has officially decided to postpone the community event scheduled for July 11 and 12, 2020.
“The committee has decided that due to health concerns created by the pandemic we find ourselves in, it would be in the best interest of all Mitchell and area residents, that we postpone the event,” said Chairperson Brian Esau. “With respect to all the businesses and individuals who have sponsored the event in the past, it is more important to support them at this time, rather than ask for donations to support the event.”
The committee noted that if conditions improve, a scaled down version of the community event could happen in fall. The organizers thank all the volunteers who have contributed in the past, and intend to put on a bigger and better event in 2021.
