A joint investigation by Manitoba RCMP and Winnipeg Police Service has led to the seizure of over 30 firearms and ammunition.
Virden and Melita RCMP, RCMP National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (NWEST), and Winnipeg Police Service recently conducted a joint investigation into unlawful possession of firearms.
On April 18, 2020, at approximately 11:25am, with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team, a search warrant was executed at a property located in the RM of Brenda-Waskada, just outside Melita.
Officers searched the residence and seized over 30 prohibited, restricted and non-restricted firearms, ammunition and a small quantity of cocaine. As a result, 26-year-old Regan Breemersch, from the RM of Brenda-Waskada, will be facing multiple firearms related charges.
