A 19-year-old man from the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne was recently arrested and charged in connection to a car theft incident after the stolen vehicle was discovered in La Broquerie, Manitoba.
On May 5, 2020, at approximately 1pm, Steinbach RCMP received a report stating that a vehicle had been stolen from a parking lot located on Hanover Street in Steinbach. The vehicle was described as a white 2010 Infiniti G37X with Manitoba plate KGG579.
Police believe that the theft occurred sometime between 1:30am and 12pm of the same day.
At approximately 9pm, RCMP were notified that the vehicle had been located in La Broquerie. Police attended the scene and arrested a 19-year-old male from the RM of Ste. Anne. The suspect was charged with possession of stolen property and theft over $5,000.
RCMP report that the suspect was released and will be attending court at a later date.
