A recent traffic stop in the RM of Headingley, Manitoba has led to a large quantity of drugs and cash being seized by RCMP.
On June 9, 2020, at approximately 1:35pm, RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Highway 1 in the RM of Headingley. The investigation led to a search of the vehicle.
As a result of the traffic stop and search, officers seized a quantity of hydromorphone, oxycodone, morphine, methylphenidate, codeine, cocaine, cannabis, a variety of other prescription and non prescription pills and over $10,000 in Canadian currency.
RCMP report that the 44-year-old male driver from Calgary was arrested and will be facing numerous charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and multiple offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
