A 28-year-old man from the RM of West St. Paul is facing impaired driving charges after recently being arrested by Steinbach RCMP.
On Tuesday June 16, 2020, at approximately 4:26pm, Steinbach RCMP were dispatched to Highway 1 in response to an erratic driver. Police were advised the vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed, swerving all over the road as well as passing other vehicles on the highway.
Officers were able to locate the vehicle with public assistance. As a result, a 28-year-old male from the RM of West St. Paul, was arrested for impaired operation of a conveyance with more than 80 mg%.
Steinbach RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter. Their action enabled police to apprehend an impaired driver without any further serious consequences.
