A 23-year-old Stuartburn woman was recently arrested in connection to a recent multi-vehicle collision near Richer, Manitoba.
Steinbach RCMP were recently dispatched to a multi-vehicle collision at a location near Highway 1 and PR 302. The collision involved three vehicles, including a parked ATV.
Police investigation determined that the driver of a Toyota, a 60-year-old man, was proceeding west on Highway 1 when a Kia Sportage, driven by 23-year-old RM of Stuartburn woman, cut across and collided with the Toyota. As a result of the collision, a parked ATV, with two riders, was hit when the Kia ended up resting in the ditch after the collision.
Police say that the ATV riders, along with the driver of the Toyota, did not suffer any threatening injuries. Police noted that a 15-year-old female passenger from the Kia was airlifted via STARS with non life threatening injuries.
RCMP report that the driver of the Kia was arrested for driving while over 80 mg%, but was later released.
