Constable Henderson and police dog Enzo of the Steinbach RCMP detachment, assisted in tracking down two suspects connected to a recent theft incident that occurred at the local Canadian Tire store.
On December 10, 2016, at approximately 4:30am, Steinbach RCMP responded to multiple alarms at the Canadian Tire store located on Highway 12N in Steinbach, Manitoba. Upon arrival at the scene, officers observed a two-passenger off-road vehicle (ORV) at the rear of the store. Two male subjects were then seen departing the area and the ORV was located a short time later in a ditch just off of Loewen Boulevard.
Police noted that the two suspects fled on foot at which point Cst. Henderson and police dog Enzo were called to assist in the apprehension of the suspects. After tracking the suspects for approximately 90 minutes, Cst. Henderson and Enzo located both male subjects.
RCMP report that the two suspects have been charged with break and enter into a business, possession of property over $5,000, possession of property under $5,000, possessing break-in instruments and flight from police.
