A 29-year-old Winkler woman has recently died after the vehicle she was driving was struck by a pickup truck at an uncontrolled intersection in the Rural Municipality of Stanley, Manitoba.
On August 5, 2020, at approximately 9:55am, Carman RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the uncontrolled intersection of Road 25W and Road 11N in the RM of Stanley.
Police investigation has determined that a northbound pickup truck, being driven by a 37-year-old Winkler man, collided with an eastbound vehicle at the intersection, being driven by a 29-year-old Winkler woman.
RCMP report that the 37-year-old man was not injured in the collision. The 29-year-old woman was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries to which she succumbed to on August 7, 2020.
Police believe that visibility is was a contributing factor in the collision.
