Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating the theft of a number of spools of aluminum wire that that had been stolen from a location in the Rural Municipality of La Broquerie.
RCMP were recently notified of a theft that occurred sometime between August 28 and 30, 2020, at a location off of Highway 302 in the RM La Broquerie.
Police say that unknown suspect(s) were able to cut through a locked fence allowing entrance to the property. As a result, four large spools of aluminum and copper wire were stolen.
RCMP report that two of the four spools were later located in a nearby field and returned to the owner. The two missing spools are described to be aluminum 2/0 AWG (00) wire, valued at approximately $4,500.
