A 57-year-old female cyclist from southern Manitoba woman has died after being struck by a vehicle on Highway 59.
On September 10, 2020, at approximately 5:55pm, St-Pierre Jolys RCMP responded to a collision involving a vehicle and a cyclist at a location on Highway 59 near Grande Pointe, Manitoba.
Police say that a vehicle traveling north on Highway 59 collided with a northbound cyclist. The cyclist, a 57-year-old woman from southern Manitoba, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle, a 23-year-old male from the RM of Grey, had no reported injuries.
RCMP report that alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in this collision.
St-Pierre Jolys RCMP, along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist, continue to investigate.
