Dauphin RCMP are asking the public for any information connected to a recent assault and robbery incident.

On December 13, 2016, at approximately 2:30am, Dauphin RCMP received a report of a robbery that had recently occurred. Police say that a Dauphin resident invited a recent acquaintance into his home. Once inside, the man assaulted the homeowner and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. The homeowner, a 73-year-old man, was taken to hospital, treated for his injuries and released.

The suspect, going by the name Morris, is described as a white male who is approximately 40 to 50 years of age. He was driving a light-coloured pickup truck with polar bear licence plates.
