A Neebing, Ontario woman has recently died after the SUV she was driving collided head-on with a pickup truck near Hazleridge, Manitoba.
On October 24, 2020, at approximately 9:15pm, Oakbank RCMP responded to a report of a two-vehicle collision at a location on Highway 12, just north of Garven Road.
Initial police investigation shows that a southbound SUV lost control and entered into the lane of a northbound pickup truck, resulting in the vehicles colliding head-on.
RCMP report that the 34-year-old female driver and lone occupant of the SUV, from Neebing, Ontario, was transported to local hospital where she was pronounced deceased. The 29-year-old male driver and lone occupant of the pickup truck, from Lockport, Manitoba, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators have determined that a third vehicle was at the scene and may have been involved in the collision. Police are asking anyone who may have information about the collision to contact Oakbank RCMP at 204-444-3847.
An RCMP Forensic Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the ongoing investigation.
