On January 3, 2017, at approximately 1:40am, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP responded to a report of an injured male at a residence in the southwest area of Niverville, Manitoba.
Police say that the homeowner had heard activity in his detached garage. When he entered the garage, he was confronted by three males who all had their faces covered. One of the suspects struck the homeowner with a machete and then fled with the other two suspects. It is unknown if they were in a vehicle or on foot.
RCMP report that the homeowner, a 43-year-old male, sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries.
