A 25-year-old Dauphin man is facing numerous break and enter charges after recently being arrested by RCMP.
On January 1, 2017, a resident of a home on 7th Avenue S.E. in Dauphin was awakened by a noise in the garage. The resident immediately called 911 and within minutes, officers from the Dauphin RCMP arrived at the home.
Police say that officers located a lone male inside the garage in question and arrested the suspect without incident.
Investigators were able to connect this incident to three other incidents, where nearby properties had also been either broken into or had damages done to them.
RCMP report that 25-year-old Jeremiah Thomas Poynting of Dauphin has been charged with two counts of break and enter and three counts of mischief. He has been remanded in custody.
