On Saturday, January 14 at approximately 5pm, Swan River RCMP were dispatched to a residence in the Town of Swan River to conduct a well-being check on an elderly male.
Police say that upon entering the residence, officers located the 90-year-old elderly male deceased.
Swan River RCMP, assisted by RCMP’s Major Crimes Services, have determined that the death was a homicide. As a result of investigation, RCMP have arrested and charged 23-year-old Swan River resident Carl Jessie Klyne with second degree murder.
RCMP noted that it does not appear the accused and victim were known to each other.
