Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP have arrested two individuals from Portage la Prairie in connection to a recent break and enter at a property located near McCreary, Manitoba.
On March 8, 2021, at approximately 11:25am, Ste. Rose du Lac RCMP responded to a report of a break and enter in progress at a rural property located near McCreary.
Police say that the homeowner reported that his garage alarm had gone off and while investigating, realized he had interrupted a break-in. The homeowner said that his garage door had been forced open, and an unknown male and female suspect fled on foot. The homeowner then followed the suspects in his vehicle and notified police.
Officers located the suspects on Highway 50, just east of Road 84N. The male and female were arrested without incident and was later determined that the male suspect had given officers a false name and was charged accordingly.
RCMP report that a 26-year-old female from Portage la Prairie is facing a charge of breaking and entering and was released with an upcoming court date. 29-year-old Davey Mousseau of Portage la Prairie has also been charged in connection to this crime.
