On January 20, 2017, at approximately 10pm, Portage la Prairie RCMP executed a Controlled Drug and Substances Act warrant at a motel on 20th Street SW in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. Portage RCMP were assisted by the RCMP General Investigations Section and Emergency Response Team.
As a result of the search, police seized crack cocaine, cocaine, amphetamine, prescription pills, cash and a handgun that was reported stolen in 2013. There were no injuries in this incident.
RCMP report that two individuals were arrested in this investigation. 30-year-old Lisa Hallson and 31-year-old Code Ouellette, both from Winnipeg, have been remanded into custody and are facing numerous firearm and drug related charges.
