Steinbach RCMP are currently investigating two theft incidents that occurred earlier in April. Both incidents occurred at construction sites located in Mitchell and Sarto, Manitoba.
On April 12, 2021, Steinbach RCMP received a complaint from Fast Brothers Ltd. reporting a theft of tools valued at over $5,000.
Police say that at approximately 7am the same day, the crew foreman for a job site, located on the north side of Ash Street in Mitchell, found the site trailer had been broken into. The theft is believed to have occurred sometime between Friday April 9 and Monday April 12, 2021.
A list of the stolen items are as follows:
- Stihl Quickcut Saw S/N 187979074 ($1500.00)
- Husqvarna Chainsaw S/N EHVXS0715AE ($600.0)
- Spectra 422 Laser and Kit ($3000.00)
- Handheld Toolbox full of tools ($500.00)
RCMP report that at the same time of the first incident, the crew foreman for a job site in Sarto, noticed that when he arrived at the job site at 7:30am, a utility trailer was missing. The trailer had been dropped off the night prior.
The following is a list of items stolen from the Sarto incident:
- Utility Trailer License Plate 702BF ($2000.00)
- 2 Slip tanks full of fuel ($1500.00)
- 1500L of Diesel ($2000.00)
- Fuel Pump ($300.00)
- Battery ($200.00)
- Case of Oil ($150.00)
