A 17-year-old male youth is in critical condition after the vehicle he was a passenger in collided with another vehicle at an intersection on McGillivray Boulevard.
On June 26, 2021, at approximately 3:40pm, Stonewall RCMP received a report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of McGillivray Boulevard and McCreary Road, in the Rural Municipality of Macdonald.
Investigation has determined that a vehicle, heading south on McCreary Road, stopped at the intersection and attempted to enter onto McGillivray Boulevard when it clipped an eastbound van. The van then hit the ditch and struck a tree.
RCMP report that the 17-year-old male driver of the vehicle attempting to enter onto McGillivray Boulevard, from Winnipeg, was not injured. The driver of the van, a 53-year-old Winnipeg man, along with the passenger, a 17-year-old male youth, were transported to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say that the 17-year-old male youth remains in critical condition.
Stonewall RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate this incident.
