Steinbach RCMP recently responded to multiple vandalism and mischief crimes that occurred at numerous locations and businesses located along Main Street in Steinbach.
On July 19, 2021, at approximately 4:30am, police responded to reports of broken glass at Earls Meat Market in Steinbach. When police arrived at the scene, officers noticed one of the front windows had been smashed as well as damage to a flower pot. Police were able to clear the building and secure the premise, noting that no items appeared to have been stolen.
RCMP further observed the planters situated in front of the Steinbach Credit Union smashed and the Sun newspaper box thrown onto Main Street.
Upon further investigation, police noticed that the Canada Post mailbox at Shoppers Drug Mart was had been tipped over, while a few other businesses had planters tipped over.
Police also received a report that the front entrance window to Coffee Culture had been shattered overnight and a vehicle, located in the 200 block of Barkman Avenue, was damaged.
