A 10-year-old boy has recently died as the result of an accident that occurred at a farmyard south of Beausejour, in the RM of Brokenhead, Manitoba.
On August 6, 2021, at 12:15pm, officers from the Oakbank RCMP detachment received a report of an unresponsive 10-year-old boy at a farm site, located approximately six kilometres south of Beausejour.
Police believe that the 10-year-old was attempting to load a garden tractor into the back of a pickup truck when it slid off the ramp and pinned him to the ground.
RCMP report that medical assistance was provided to the child who was later pronounced deceased on scene.
Oakbank RCMP continue to investigate this fatality.
