STARS has announced that it has received a generous $1 million gift from Tourmaline Oil Corp., Canada’s largest natural gas producer. The multi-year donation will support STARS’ operations across Western Canada, while also benefiting municipal neighbours.
“We’re excited to support STARS and ensure the highest level of critical care is available to people when they need it most,” said Michael Rose, Tourmaline’s president and CEO. “Our investment in STARS furthers our commitment to protecting the health and safety of our employees, contractors and everyone who lives in and around our operations.”
Tourmaline’s $1 million gift, pledged over a five-year term, will support missions flown from STARS’ six Western Canadian bases.
“Like STARS, Tourmaline values the health and safety of the communities in which it operates and serves, and we are so grateful for this generosity,” said Andrea Robertson, STARS president and CEO. “We truly could not be there for the next patient who needs critical care across Western Canada without the steadfast support of donors like Tourmaline. This commitment will enable STARS to continue fighting for the lives of patients when they need us most.”
STARS operates from bases in Calgary, Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Regina, Saskatoon and Winnipeg.
