St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP are reporting that a 56-year-old man from St. Andrews has recently died as the result of a motorcycle accident that occurred in the Rural Municipality of Ritchot, Manitoba.
On August 19, 2021, at approximately 3:35pm, St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP and EMS personnel responded to a report of an unresponsive male on River Oaks Road, in the RM of Ritchot. The report also indicated that a motorcycle was in a nearby ditch.
Police say that resuscitation efforts were initiated by responding EMS personnel, but the 56-year-old male from St. Andrews succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
RCMP report that at this time, it is believed that the male lost control of his motorcycle on River Oaks Road. No other vehicle is believed to be involved.
St. Pierre-Jolys RCMP along with a Forensic Collision Reconstructionist continue to investigate this incident.
