Steinbach RCMP are reporting that a 20-year-old Steinbach man has been fined and charged in a recent excessive speeding incident that occurred near Clearspring Centre on Highway 12 North.
On September 14, 2021 at 8:11pm, while on patrol, Steinbach RCMP officers observed a vehicle traveling at 135 km/h in a 70 km/h zone. The incident occurred at a location on Highway 12 between Clearsprings Road and Park Road.
RCMP report that a 20-year-old Steinbach man has been charged in this incident and received a fine of $901.
Police say that due to the excessive speed in which the man was traveling, a serious offence notice was also issued.
