Portage la Prairie RCMP and RCMP Major Crime Services investigators, along with the RCMP Forensic Identification Section and RCMP Search and Rescue recently conducted a search in the area where 51-year-old Jeff Peters was located deceased on May 20, 2019.
Police say that the death of Jeff Peters had been determined a homicide. Peters had been employed as a taxi driver in Portage la Prairie at the time of the incident.
RCMP investigators located evidence in a ditch in the search area, which determined that a full search was necessary. The search took place on Road 55 West, near MacGregor, where Peters was located, as well as on Highway 1, west of Austin, Manitoba.
